Today we welcome Friends of Speedway as the latest SFU affiliate member. FoS provide the Voice, a publication for speedway fans to share their views about the sport, exchange ideas and memories and to encourage others to find out what speedway is all about.
the Voice is a fans' forum and is written by contributors who have no obligation to anything, other than their favourite sport, but they don't just find fault, but give praise when warranted and criticism where justified.
FoS are also active in supporting junior speedway, something which SFU have high on our own priority list. They have been proud sponsors of the Under-15s championship by supplying personalised race jackets for the series in both 2009 and 2010. |

The board of Speedway Fans United are pleased to announce that the Long Eaton Invaders have added their support to the newly formed national supporters’ association.
The Invaders, who are returning to track action having struck a deal with fellow returnees Leicester Lions, have agreed to promote the organisations activities and will also be sporting the Speedway Fans United logo on the teams Race Jackets.
“It is a great gesture by the officials of Long Eaton to back us in such a way” said SFU Chair, Nick Taylor.
“When Andy Higgs made the suggestion of having our logo on the Invaders race jacket, we had no hesitation in agreeing to it”.
Long Eaton have announced their first meeting will be the home leg of the John Bailey Memorial Trophy against the Birmingham Bulls on 30th April straight after the Leicester Lions’ Premier League match against Somerset Rebels at Beaumont Park. |
